Turner - Machine Shop Operator (Lahore)


We are in need of a skilled Turner to join our machine shop team in Lahore. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating various machine tools to produce precision metal parts according to blueprints and specifications. You will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing these machines, as well as inspecting finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.

To excel in this role, you should have at least 2 years of experience working as a Turner in a machine shop environment. A strong understanding of technical drawing and blueprint reading is essential. The ability to operate manual and computer-controlled machines, such as lathes, drills, and milling machines, is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machine tools to perform machining operations on metal workpieces
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine specifications
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot any issues with machines or products and make necessary adjustments or repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Turner in a machine shop setting
- Strong knowledge of technical drawing and blueprint reading
- Proficient in operating manual and computer-controlled machines (e.g. lathes, drills, milling machines)
- Familiarity with measuring instruments (e.g. calipers, micrometers) is essential
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
