Librarian at Al-Malikiyah Public Library

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team at the Al-Malikiyah Public Library. As the primary caretaker of our library's collection, you will be responsible for organizing, cataloging, and maintaining all materials. This includes books, periodicals, audio-visual materials, and digital resources.

As a Librarian, you will also assist library patrons with finding resources and provide recommendations based on their interests and needs. You will also oversee the circulation of materials and ensure that all items are returned on time. In addition to managing the physical collection, you will also be responsible for monitoring the library's online catalog and updating it with new materials.

To excel in this role, you should have a degree in Library Science or a related field. Experience working in a library or similar setting is preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for this position. As this is a full-time job, you must also have the ability to work 40 hours per week.

In order to provide excellent service to our patrons, we require that the ideal candidate is customer service oriented and has excellent communication skills. You must be able to assist patrons of all ages and backgrounds in a friendly and professional manner.
