Entry Level Librarian

We are hiring an Entry Level Librarian to join our library team in Al-Malikiyah. As an Entry Level Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the library and providing excellent customer service to patrons. This is an ideal position for someone who has a passion for books and information, and is looking to start their career in the library field.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with circulation duties such as checking books in and out, shelving materials, and processing holds
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, recommending books and resources, and helping patrons locate materials
- Assist with collection management tasks including inventory, weeding, and ordering new materials
- Conduct basic reference interviews and provide basic research assistance to patrons
- Help maintain a clean and organized library space by shelving books, tidying shelves, and keeping work areas neat
- Participate in planning and implementing library programs and events for all ages
- Stay up-to-date on library policies, procedures, and services to effectively assist patrons

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with patrons of all ages
- Passion for books, information, technology, and lifelong learning
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
