Fitter - Maintenance and Repair Specialist (Funchal, Portugal)


We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our maintenance and repair team in Funchal, Portugal. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on various equipment and machinery, ensuring they are in proper working condition. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1200$, plus the opportunity for overtime pay.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and make necessary repairs
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and adjustments on machines
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance work performed
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate repair schedules
- Adhere to all safety protocols while working on equipment

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fitter or similar role, preferably in a maintenance or repair setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various tools and equipment used in repairs
- Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals to troubleshoot issues
- Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions for extended periods of time

Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade school diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience working with hydraulic systems is a plus
