Truck Driver
Truck drivers play a vital role in the transportation industry by delivering goods and products to various locations. As a truck driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a large commercial vehicle, following traffic laws and regulations, and ensuring timely delivery of cargo. This job requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial truck to transport goods and products to designated locations
- Plan routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of cargo
- Perform pre-trip inspections of the truck and report any issues or malfunctions
- Follow traffic laws and regulations at all times
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any delays
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs
- Adhere to company policies and procedures for loading, unloading, and securing cargo
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of the truck
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents
- Ability to pass drug/alcohol screenings as required by law
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent education
- Excellent driving skills with the ability to navigate through different types of roads and weather conditions
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Good communication skills in English
(fluency in other languages is a plus)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
(previous experience in long-haul trucking is preferred)
Salary: $1000 monthly (may vary based on experience)
