Smelter Operator



A smelter operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in the process of extracting metal from ore. They work in a factory or plant setting, using specialized machinery to melt and purify metals such as iron, copper, and aluminum. The job requires individuals with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor smelting equipment according to established procedures
- Load raw materials into furnaces and adjust controls to regulate temperature, pressure, and flow of materials
- Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure proper functioning of equipment
- Record data on production reports and maintain accurate records of production
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the smelting process and make necessary adjustments
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred
- Previous experience working in a smelting facility or similar industrial environment is preferred
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and ability to adhere to them at all times
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects as needed
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
The salary for this position starts at 1400$ per month.

Location:
This role is based in Pula, a beautiful coastal city located in Croatia.

Working Hours:
The working hours for this position may vary depending on production needs but typically range from 40 - 50 hours per week.

Visa Requirements:
A valid biometric passport is required for this position. Indian nationality is preferred but not required.
