Executive Chef
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at a high-end restaurant in Porto, Portugal. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating unique and innovative dishes, as well as managing and developing a team of chefs. This role requires strong leadership skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute menus that are in line with the restaurant's concept and standards
- Develop new dishes and ensure quality control of all food served
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and prep cooks
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed
- Oversee kitchen operations to ensure cleanliness, safety, and efficiency
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to provide exceptional dining experiences for guests
- Handle any customer complaints or concerns related to food quality or service
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant setting
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Creative mindset with a passion for culinary innovation
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality dishes consistently
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment in accordance with health codes
- Fluent in English (Portuguese language skills are a plus)
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Salary & Benefits:
