JAVA Developer - Funchal, Portugal



We are currently seeking a skilled JAVA Developer to join our dynamic team in Funchal, Portugal. As a JAVA Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of JAVA programming language and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain JAVA-based applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop software solutions
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues
- Write clean, efficient, and reusable code
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software development
- Participate in code review processes to ensure code quality
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide technical support as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a JAVA Developer
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles
- Proficient in Java SE/EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and other related technologies
- Experience with web services (REST/SOAP) and API development
- Knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL/Oracle) and experience writing complex queries
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with front-end development using HTML/CSS/Javascript is a plus
- Experience working with cloud-based technologies (AWS/Azure) is a plus
- Previous experience working in an agile environment is preferred

Salary:
Salary for this position starts at 1800$ per month but may vary based on qualifications and experience.
