Formwork Technician


A construction company in Washington is seeking a skilled Formwork Technician to join our team. As a Formwork Technician, you will be responsible for creating and installing formwork structures for concrete pouring, as well as ensuring their stability and safety. This position requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand formwork requirements
- Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions
- Assemble formwork structures using various tools and equipment
- Ensure formwork is properly aligned, braced, and supported before pouring concrete
- Monitor weather conditions and make necessary adjustments to maintain structural stability
- Inspect completed formwork for quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with other construction workers to complete projects on time
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures on job sites

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in formworking or carpentry
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately
- Proficient with various hand tools such as saws, drills, hammers, etc.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs)
- Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred:
- Experience working with different types of formwork systems (e.g. steel, aluminum)
- Understanding of basic engineering principles related to formwork structures
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
