Part-Time Librarian


We are seeking a part-time librarian to join our team at the Mauren City Library. As a librarian, you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the library's collection, assisting patrons with finding materials, and providing reference services. This position is perfect for someone looking to supplement their income or for a student interested in gaining experience in the field of library science.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain library collections, including cataloging and shelving books
- Assist patrons with finding materials and provide reference services
- Develop and implement library programs and events
- Manage circulation desk activities, including checking out materials and collecting fines
- Collaborate with other librarians to select new materials for the collection
- Keep track of inventory levels and order new materials as needed
- Help maintain the library's online presence through social media and website updates

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (or currently enrolled in a program)
- Experience working in a library setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office and online databases
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
