Job Title: Senior Merchandiser in Lisbon, Portugal



We are hiring a Senior Merchandiser to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. As a Senior Merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the buying and selling of products in our retail stores. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of the retail industry.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to make informed buying decisions
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of products
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards and are displayed attractively in stores
- Collaborate with marketing team to create effective promotions and sales strategies
- Train and mentor junior merchandisers on merchandising techniques and product knowledge
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels at all times
- Conduct regular store visits to assess product placement and presentation
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors' activities, and consumer preferences

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
- Proven experience as a Merchandiser or similar role for at least 5 years
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use data to make informed decisions
- Knowledge of visual merchandising principles and techniques
- Experience working with retail systems such as inventory management software
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
with strict deadlines
Location: This position is based in Lisbon, Portugal.
Salary: The salary for this position is $1800 per month.
