Interpreter (Porto, Portugal)


We are hiring a full-time Interpreter to join our team in Porto, Portugal. This position is suitable for men and does not require previous experience. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of $1700 and visa sponsorship if needed.

As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient interpretation services for clients who speak different languages. You will work on a variety of assignments including business meetings, conferences, medical appointments, legal proceedings, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct interpretations between English and other languages
- Ensure accuracy and cultural sensitivity in all interpretations
- Research industry-specific terminology to prepare for assignments
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and expectations
- Provide excellent customer service while representing our company

Requirements:
- Proficiency in English and at least one other language (Portuguese preferred)
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Detail-oriented with excellent listening skills
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Flexible schedule with availability to work weekends or evenings if needed

Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics or related field
- Previous experience as an interpreter or translator
- Familiarity with industry-specific terminology (medical, legal, business)
- Certification from a recognized institution such as the International Association of Conference Interpreters (AIIC) or National Association of Judiciary Interpreters & Translators (NAJIT)
