Preservation Architect

We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Funchal. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures. This includes conducting research, creating preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture, with knowledge of historic preservation techniques and regulations. This position offers a salary of 1200$ per month without accommodation. Women are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on historic buildings and structures
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local regulations and guidelines
- Oversee restoration projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- Collaborate with other architects, engineers, and contractors to achieve project goals
- Conduct site visits to assess the condition of buildings
- Create detailed drawings and specifications for restoration work
- Monitor the progress of restoration projects and make adjustments as needed
- Communicate with clients about project updates and any challenges that arise

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in historic preservation architecture
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other architectural software
- Knowledge of local regulations and guidelines for historic preservation
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
