Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Junior Accountant to join our team in Lisbon. As a Junior Accountant, you will assist with financial tasks such as data entry, reconciliations, and report preparation. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to start their career in accounting. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting or finance and strong analytical skills. Experience is not required, but basic knowledge of accounting principles and Microsoft Excel is preferred. This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $1700 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily financial transactions, including data entry and recording expenses
- Prepare bank reconciliations and assist with month-end closing procedures
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and update accounting database
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Prepare financial reports for management review
- Communicate with clients to resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or currently pursuing)
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
