Head Librarian


As the Head Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the library at our institution in Dar Kulaib. Your main duties will include developing and maintaining the library's collections, providing reference services, managing staff, and promoting library resources to students and faculty.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a well-rounded collection of books, journals, and other resources that support the academic needs of our institution.
- Provide reference services to students and faculty by assisting with research queries and helping them locate relevant materials.
- Manage a team of librarians and support staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating performance.
- Collaborate with faculty to ensure that the library's resources align with the curriculum and support student learning outcomes.
- Promote library resources through workshops, orientations, and other outreach activities to increase student engagement.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in library science and incorporate new technologies into library services.
- Oversee the budget for library materials and equipment purchases.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience working as a librarian or in a supervisory role within a library setting.
- Strong knowledge of cataloging systems, reference tools, and electronic databases.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is preferred).
- Proven leadership abilities with experience managing a team.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.

Salary:
In this full-time position as Head Librarian at our institution in Dar Kulaib, you will receive a competitive salary of 1300$ per month.
