Preservation Architect


As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures in the city of Almada. Your primary goal will be to protect and maintain the cultural significance and integrity of these structures, while also ensuring they meet modern safety and accessibility standards.

Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Preservation Architect or in a related field
- Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Knowledge of historical preservation techniques and materials
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients, contractors, and other professionals involved in the restoration process

Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine necessary preservation measures
- Developing restoration plans that adhere to local regulations, budget constraints, and client preferences
- Coordinating with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of restoration projects
- Overseeing construction activities to ensure they align with the approved plans and preservation principles
- Conducting periodic inspections during the restoration process to address any issues or changes that may arise
- Providing guidance on maintenance procedures for preserved structures to ensure their long-term sustainability

Salary:
Salary for this position starts at 1100$ per month. Additional benefits such as accommodation may be provided depending on individual circumstances.
