Bilingual Interpreter - Hindi/English


We are a language services company based in Washington, seeking a Bilingual Interpreter fluent in Hindi and English to join our team. As an interpreter, you will facilitate communication between Hindi-speaking clients and English-speaking individuals in various settings such as medical appointments, legal proceedings, and business meetings.

Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken communication accurately and objectively between Hindi and English speakers
- Translate written documents from Hindi to English and vice versa
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Adapt to different dialects and registers of the language as needed
- Provide cultural context to ensure effective communication between parties
- Take notes and maintain accurate records of interpreted conversations

Requirements:
- Fluency in both Hindi and English is essential
- Excellent verbal communication skills in both languages
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances and sensitivity towards diverse backgrounds
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism
- Previous experience as an interpreter is preferred but not required

Salary:
This is a contract position with a starting salary of $1200 per month. Visa sponsorship can be provided for the right candidate.

Location:
This role will be based in Washington, but remote work options may be available for highly qualified candidates.
