Part-Time Civil Engineer for Construction Projects in Funchal

A reputable construction company in Funchal is seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed within budget and on time while maintaining high quality standards. This position offers flexible hours and includes accommodation for non-local candidates.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and oversee construction projects according to specifications
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities
- Manage project budgets and timelines
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and identify any issues that may arise
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations
- Provide technical advice and guidance to project team members
- Review project plans, drawings, and other documents for accuracy and feasibility
- Prepare reports on project progress and present them to stakeholders

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in construction project management
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD or Revit
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Valid driver's license
