Junior Accountant

Our accounting firm in Faro is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in accounting or has recently graduated with a degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities:
- Assist senior accountants with day-to-day tasks such as bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and reports for clients
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other compliance documents
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks) preferred but not required

We offer a competitive salary of 1400$ per month along with accommodation. As our clients have international operations, candidates with a biometric passport are preferred. Women are encouraged to apply for this position.
