Entry-Level Librarian

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Entry-Level Librarian to join our team at our library in Faro. As an Entry-Level Librarian, you will be responsible for providing customer service, assisting with circulation and reference services, and maintaining the library's collection. This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $1400 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to library patrons
- Assist with circulation and reference services
- Maintain the library's collection by shelving books and materials, organizing shelves, and conducting inventory
- Assist with programming and events for the library
- Help patrons locate materials and provide information on library resources
- Process new materials for circulation
- Keep the library clean and organized

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience working in a library or have completed internships in a library setting. However, we welcome applications from individuals without experience who are passionate about librarianship.
