Part-time Preservation Architect (Braga, Portugal)


We are seeking a skilled and passionate Preservation Architect to join our team in Braga, Portugal. As a part-time member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise and creativity to the preservation and restoration of historic buildings in this beautiful city.

Responsibilities:
- Conducting research and analysis on historic buildings to determine their original design and construction methods
- Collaborating with other architects, engineers, and contractors to develop preservation plans
- Creating detailed drawings, plans, and specifications for restoration projects
- Overseeing the implementation of preservation plans and ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations
- Conducting site visits and inspections to monitor progress and identify any potential issues or challenges
- Communicating with clients, stakeholders, and community members about project updates and progress
- Staying updated on current preservation techniques, materials, and technologies

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Experience working on preservation or restoration projects preferred but not required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other architectural software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills in both English (or Portuguese) written and spoken.
- Must have a biometric passport for international travel.

This position is suitable for men who are interested in utilizing their architectural skills while also exploring the beautiful city of Braga. We offer competitive salary of 1100$ per month for this part-time position. Accommodation can also be provided if needed.
