Librarian

We are hiring a Librarian who will be responsible for managing and organizing our library resources, providing assistance to library patrons, and promoting the use of the library. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for books and knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a library setting.

As a Librarian, your main duties will include cataloging and classifying library materials, maintaining an organized system for lending and returning books, and creating engaging displays to showcase new books or themed collections. You will also assist patrons in locating materials, answering reference questions, and providing guidance on how to use the library's online resources.

In addition to these tasks, you will also be responsible for overseeing the library's budget, ordering new materials as needed, and managing the library's staff. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other departments to plan events and programs that promote literacy and community engagement.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working as a librarian or in a similar role. A biometric passport is required for this position as it may involve handling sensitive information. Fluency in English is also necessary as you will be communicating with patrons from diverse backgrounds.

This is a contract position with a salary of $1700 per month. Our ideal candidate is passionate about providing excellent customer service, has strong organizational skills, and is able to work independently as well as part of a team.
