Executive Chef
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Nizwa, Oman. As an Indian cuisine restaurant, we are looking for a candidate who is familiar with Indian flavors and cooking techniques. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working as an Executive Chef in a high volume restaurant.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Create new and innovative dishes while also maintaining traditional Indian dishes on the menu
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure high quality and consistent food production
- Monitor food costs and maintain inventory levels to stay within budget
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Develop relationships with local suppliers to maintain high quality ingredients
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high volume restaurant
- Proficient in Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of food cost control methods to stay within budget
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Salary: $1500 per month
