Chef de Cuisine
We are seeking a skilled and creative Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen team in Jerusalem. As the head of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating and executing menus that showcase our unique blend of Canadian and international cuisine. You will oversee all aspects of food preparation, including ingredient sourcing, menu development, and quality control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine dining and experience leading a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute menus that reflect our Canadian identity while incorporating international flavors
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques and safe food handling practices
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and consistency
- Manage food costs by monitoring inventory levels and minimizing waste
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and specials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a chef in a fine dining restaurant
- Formal culinary training or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of Canadian cuisine with the ability to incorporate international flavors
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- A keen eye for detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure
Salary: $1600/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Jerusalem (preference for Canadian candidates)
