Preservation Architect


We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Vianden, Luxembourg. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and landmarks, ensuring their structural integrity and maintaining their historical significance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historic buildings and sites to determine their condition and preservation needs
- Developing preservation plans and strategies for restoration projects
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure proper execution of preservation projects
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local authorities for restoration work
- Conducting research on the history of buildings and sites to inform restoration efforts
- Implementing sustainable practices in preservation projects to minimize environmental impact
- Monitoring the progress of restoration projects and making adjustments as needed to ensure quality workmanship
- Providing guidance on proper maintenance techniques for historic structures
- Educating the public on the importance of preserving cultural heritage through workshops, presentations, and publications

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture with a focus on Historic Preservation
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation architecture or a related field
- Strong knowledge of historical architecture styles, building materials, and construction techniques
- Experience working with local building codes and guidelines for historic preservation
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to conduct thorough research
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural software

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1600$ per month.
