Executive Chef for Indian Cuisine in Nairobi, Kenya
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing menus featuring authentic Indian cuisine. You must have a deep understanding of Indian flavors, spices, and cooking techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus featuring authentic Indian dishes
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques
- Ensure high quality, flavorful, and visually appealing dishes are served
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in Indian cuisine
- Extensive knowledge of Indian spices, flavors, and cooking techniques
- Ability to create unique menus that cater to different dietary restrictions or preferences
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
- Knowledge of food cost management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
Salary: $1000 per month
