Librarian vacancy in Ufa Russia

Junior Librarian

Our library in Ufa is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Librarian to join our team. As a Junior Librarian, you will assist with the daily operations of the library, including circulation, cataloging, and reference services. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to start their career in library services.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the circulation of library materials, including checking materials in and out, collecting fines and fees, and resolving any issues related to circulation
- Catalog new materials using Dewey Decimal Classification system
- Provide reference services to patrons by helping them locate materials and answering basic research questions
- Assist with collection development by recommending new materials for purchase
- Plan and lead library programs and events for children, teens, and adults
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the library space

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Nepali language is a plus)
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Familiarity with library systems such as Dewey Decimal Classification and MARC records preferred

Salary: $1300 per month

City: Ufa, Russia (open to candidates from other countries)

This is a full-time position with working hours from 9am to 5pm. We offer free visa sponsorship for foreign candidates, as well as a one-time ticket allowance for relocation.
