Junior Network and Systems Administrator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Almada. As a Junior Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our company's network and systems infrastructure. This is an entry-level position suitable for candidates without experience, although knowledge of network and system administration is preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords for network access
- Ensure security of network by implementing appropriate policies
- Maintain system backups and perform data recovery when necessary
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and networking issues
- Communicate with vendors for procurement of necessary equipment or services
- Stay up-to-date with latest trends in networking technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred
- Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems
- Basic understanding of virtualization concepts (VMware or Hyper-V)
- Good troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues quickly
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese language skills are a plus)
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds for equipment installation

Salary: 1200$ per month

Location: Almada (Portugal)
