Preservation Architect
The city of Jerusalem is seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team and help preserve the historical and cultural landmarks of the city. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for developing and implementing plans for the conservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of buildings, structures, and sites in accordance with local and international preservation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys of historic buildings and sites to assess their condition and identify necessary preservation work
- Prepare detailed reports outlining proposed preservation plans, including cost estimates and timelines
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure proper execution of preservation projects
- Manage project budgets and timelines effectively
- Monitor ongoing preservation work to ensure compliance with established standards
- Research historical materials, construction techniques, and building materials to inform preservation efforts
- Develop innovative solutions for preserving fragile or deteriorating structures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Preservation Architect
- Strong knowledge of local and international preservation standards
- Ability to read architectural drawings
- Proficient in AutoCAD or similar software
- Excellent project management skills
- Attention to detail
Salary:
Salary for this position starts at $900 per month.
