IT Support Specialist


We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team in Faro. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to our clients. Your main duties will include resolving technical issues, installing and configuring computer systems and software, and maintaining network and system security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science or a related field, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment.

Salary: 1600$ per month

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and security systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Valid work visa for Faro (Portugal)

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, or in person
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and security issues
- Install new computer systems and software applications as needed
- Configure network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls etc.
- Monitor system performance and ensure all systems are up-to-date with security patches
- Maintain accurate records of all support activities
- Educate clients on proper use of technology resources
- Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement within the IT infrastructure
