We are a highly reputable manufacturing company in Funchal, Portugal seeking a skilled Turner to join our team on a contract basis. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various lathe machines to produce precision metal components according to technical specifications.

Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Turner in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining lathe machines
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate lathe machines to perform turning, boring, threading, and similar operations on metal workpieces
- Adjust machine controls and tool settings as needed for each job
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine maintenance as needed
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies
