Part-Time Machine Learning Engineer (Funchal, Portugal)

We are searching for a highly skilled and motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Funchal on a part-time basis. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will work closely with our data scientists and software engineers to develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms. Your main responsibilities will include data cleaning and preprocessing, feature engineering, model training and evaluation, as well as deploying models into production.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in machine learning engineering or a similar role
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
- Familiarity with database systems and SQL
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with data scientists to understand project requirements and goals
- Collect, clean, preprocess and analyze data from various sources
- Develop and deploy machine learning models using industry-standard frameworks and tools
- Monitor model performance and make necessary adjustments to improve accuracy
- Communicate results and insights to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner
