Entry-Level PHP Developer

We are seeking a talented and driven Entry-Level PHP Developer to join our team in Almada. As a PHP Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining dynamic web applications and websites. Your primary focus will be developing and implementing server-side logic, defining and maintaining databases, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness of all web applications.

Responsibilities:
- Write clean, testable, and efficient code using PHP programming language
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing code to improve functionality
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Design database schemas and implement data storage solutions
- Ensure cross-platform compatibility of web applications
- Optimize website performance by utilizing caching techniques
- Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of PHP development

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience (or strong academic background) in PHP development
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles
- Familiarity with MySQL or other relational databases
- Understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is a plus
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) is desirable
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment
