Preservation Architect



As a Preservation Architect, you will play a crucial role in the conservation and restoration of historical buildings and structures in Karachi. You will work closely with project teams to develop preservation plans, conduct site visits, and oversee the implementation of preservation projects. Your attention to detail and knowledge of architectural design principles will be essential in ensuring that the historical integrity of these structures is maintained while also meeting modern safety and accessibility standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop preservation plans for historical buildings and structures
- Conduct thorough site visits to assess the condition and needs of each structure
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure preservation plans are effectively implemented
- Utilize your knowledge of architectural design principles to guide restoration efforts
- Research and recommend appropriate materials and techniques for restoration projects
- Monitor progress of preservation projects and make necessary adjustments as needed
- Adhere to relevant building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility guidelines
- Communicate regularly with clients, project teams, and other stakeholders involved in the preservation process

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in architecture with a focus on historic preservation
- Extensive knowledge of architectural design principles, materials, and techniques used in historic preservation
- Experience conducting site visits and developing preservation plans preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and deadlines

Salary: 1800$ per month (part-time)

Location: Karachi, Pakistan
