Urgent Librarian in Wiltz, Canada


We are urgently seeking a skilled Librarian to join our team in Wiltz, Canada. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, providing research assistance to patrons, and promoting literacy and learning within the community.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library collection by cataloging and shelving materials according to established systems
- Provide reference services to patrons by assisting with research inquiries and locating resources
- Plan and implement educational programs and events to promote literacy and learning within the community
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop and maintain the library's collection of print and digital materials
- Oversee the maintenance of library equipment and facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for patrons
- Train and supervise library assistants or volunteers as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of library management systems and research databases
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Previous experience working in a library or related field is preferred but not required
