Job Title: Smelter Operator


We are a leading mining company in Nairobi, seeking a skilled Smelter Operator to join our team. As a Smelter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining smelting equipment to extract metals from their ores. This is a contract position with a competitive salary of 1500$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Operate smelting equipment and monitor its performance to ensure efficient extraction of metals
- Regulate temperature, pressure, and flow of materials during the smelting process
- Monitor and adjust chemical processes according to set standards
- Troubleshoot and repair any malfunctions in the equipment
- Maintain accurate records of production and quality control measures
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Smelter Operator or similar role in a mining or metal processing environment
- Strong understanding of smelting processes and equipment operations
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Good physical stamina to work in hot and noisy environments for extended periods of time
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in metallurgy or related field
- Experience working with different types of ores and metals
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to smelting operations
