Cashier - Part Time Contract Position in Muharraq, Bahrain

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer service-driven Cashier to join our team on a part-time contract basis in Muharraq, Bahrain. As a Cashier, your main responsibilities will include processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist them with their purchases
- Scan items and process payments using cash registers
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift
- Ensure that all prices and products are accurately labeled
- Keep checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies
- Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a professional manner
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, refunds, exchanges, etc.
- Upsell products and services to customers as needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Excellent math skills to handle cash transactions accurately
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers effectively
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
