Agronomist – Farming and Crop Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agronomist to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As an Agronomist, you will be responsible for managing and improving the productivity of our farming operations, including crop planning, soil management, irrigation, pest control, and harvesting. Your expertise in farming and crop management will be crucial in ensuring the success of our agricultural business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee all aspects of crop production, from seed selection to harvesting
- Develop and implement effective soil management strategies
- Monitor and manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal water usage
- Implement pest control measures to protect crops from diseases and pests
- Conduct regular field inspections to assess plant health and identify any issues
- Analyze data on crop yields, weather patterns, and market trends to make informed decisions
- Work closely with farmers and farm workers to provide training and support on best practices for farming
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in agricultural technology and techniques
- Collaborate with other departments within the company to ensure efficient operations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Agronomist or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of farming practices, crop production techniques, soil science, irrigation systems, pest control methods, etc.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train and support others
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Fluency in English (knowledge of Nepali is a plus)
- Willingness to work part-time hours (20 hours per week)
- Must be able to provide your own accommodation in Abu Dhabi
