Information Security Analyst

As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for protecting the company's computer systems and networks from potential threats and attacks. You will work closely with the IT team to identify vulnerabilities and implement security measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. Your role will involve conducting risk assessments, monitoring network traffic, and responding to security incidents. Additionally, you will stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies to continuously improve our security posture.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of information security principles and best practices. You must also possess excellent analytical skills to identify potential risks and take appropriate measures to mitigate them. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, along with relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM. Experience in network security, risk management, and incident response is highly desirable.

This position is based in Braga and offers a salary of 1500$ per month without accommodation. You should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Excellent communication skills are crucial for this role as you will need to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Additionally, strong problem-solving skills are essential for troubleshooting security issues.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing.
- Implementing security controls such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Monitoring network traffic for suspicious activity.
- Investigating security incidents and providing recommendations for remediation.
- Creating reports on security incidents, risks, and vulnerabilities.
- Staying up-to-date on emerging threats and recommending appropriate actions.
- Assisting in the development of disaster recovery plans.
- Educating employees on information security policies and best practices.
