Filipino Pastry Chef in Nairobi, Kenya

We are in search of a skilled and experienced Filipino Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Nairobi. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of delicious pastries, desserts, and baked goods. Your creativity and attention to detail will be key in ensuring that our customers have an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute pastry menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and special requests from customers
- Prepare all pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure timely production of pastries
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all food safety regulations
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs or assistants in proper techniques and procedures
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new menu items that reflect seasonal ingredients or current food trends
- Continuously strive to improve techniques for pastry production and presentation

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or relevant role with at least 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of different pastry techniques such as baking, decorating, and plating
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail and presentation
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members from different cultural backgrounds
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Salary: $1500/month (negotiable based on experience)
