Contract Librarian in US


We are seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Contract Librarian to join our team in the US. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing library materials, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and developing collections to meet the needs of our community. This is a contract position with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the library, including cataloging, circulation, and shelving of materials
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries both in person and online
- Develop and maintain collections that support the educational needs of our community
- Plan and implement programs and events to promote literacy and foster a love for reading
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into classroom instruction
- Train library volunteers and oversee their work in the library
- Stay informed on current trends in library science and incorporate new technologies into library services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working as a librarian preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations
- Knowledge of various research tools, databases, and electronic resources for information retrieval
- Familiarity with current trends in children's literature is a plus

Salary:
The salary for this contract position is $1400 per month.

Location:
This position is located in the US. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the contract.
