Machine Learning Engineer (Contract)
Location: Svalbard, Norway


We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing machine learning algorithms and models. You will work closely with our data scientists and software engineers to identify business problems and develop solutions using machine learning techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and maintain machine learning models and algorithms
- Collect, clean and preprocess large datasets for use in training models
- Collaborate with data scientists to understand business problems and develop appropriate solutions
- Work closely with software engineers to integrate machine learning models into production systems
- Continuously evaluate and improve the performance of existing machine learning models
- Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of machine learning and apply them to projects
- Communicate technical concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role
- Strong programming skills in Python, R or Java
- Experience with common machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or Scikit-Learn
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis and data mining techniques
- Experience working with big data tools such as Hadoop or Spark
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Strong communication skills
