Junior Surveyor - Svalbard

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Surveyor to join our team in Svalbard. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with land surveys, measuring and mapping land features, and collecting data using various tools and equipment. This is a contract position with the opportunity for extension.

Responsibilities:
- Assist senior surveyors with conducting land surveys using GPS, total stations, and other surveying equipment
- Measure and map land features such as boundaries, topography, and buildings
- Collect data on environmental conditions, geological features, and construction sites
- Create accurate reports and drawings based on survey data
- Maintain surveying equipment and ensure it is in good working condition
- Adhere to safety protocols while conducting surveys

Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Geomatics Engineering or related field
- Previous experience in surveying is an asset but not required
- Proficient in using surveying tools such as GPS, total stations, and data collectors
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations and measurements
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physically fit to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Salary:
This is a contract position with a salary of $1100 per month.
