Cashier - Entry Level (Svalbard)

We are a retail store located in the beautiful city of Svalbard, looking for an Entry Level Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone without any previous experience as we provide on-the-job training.

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Process sales transactions accurately using our POS system
- Answer customer inquiries and provide product information
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Ensure all cash registers are balanced at the end of each shift
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient store operations

Requirements:

- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication skills in English (knowledge of additional languages is a plus)
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 20 pounds

We offer competitive salary of 1700$ per month, as well as opportunities for growth and development within the company. Please note that accommodation is not provided, so preference will be given to candidates who already reside in Svalbard or have their own housing arrangements.
