Sous Chef - Indian/Nepali Cuisine (Doha, Qatar)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in Doha, Qatar. Our restaurant specializes in Indian and Nepali cuisine, and we are looking for a talented individual who is passionate about these cuisines and can bring their expertise to our kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development and food cost management
- Oversee the preparation, cooking and presentation of Indian and Nepali dishes
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards
- Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Adhere to all food safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef in an Indian/Nepali restaurant or hotel
- In-depth knowledge of Indian/Nepali cuisine and cooking techniques
- Ability to create authentic dishes while also adding your own creative touch
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate and supervise a team
- Strong understanding of food cost management
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Good communication skills
Salary: $1200/month (tax-free) plus benefits including accommodation, transportation, and yearly ticket allowance.
