Head Chef - Beer-Sheva, Israel
We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Beer-Sheva, Israel. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and managing kitchen staff. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence and a strong background in fine dining. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $1100 per month.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and update menus based on seasonal availability and customer preferences
- Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared to high standards
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and specials that showcase local ingredients and reflect current food trends
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor kitchen staff
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Creativity and passion for creating innovative dishes
- Fluent in English (Hebrew is an asset)
- Valid work permit for Israel
