Job Title: Sous Chef
We are a renowned restaurant in Las Vegas, known for our unique and exquisite African cuisine. We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our team and help us create unforgettable dining experiences for our guests.
As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, menu planning, and maintaining high quality standards. You will also be responsible for training and managing kitchen staff, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to our recipes and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and creating new dishes
- Oversee daily food preparation and ensure quality control
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling shifts
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the front of house team to ensure smooth service
- Handle any customer complaints or concerns related to food quality or presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Strong understanding of African cuisine and cooking techniques
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others in a team environment
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1600 per month, along with opportunities for career growth within our company.
