Architectural Designer (Svalbard)


We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Architectural Designer to join our team in Svalbard. As an Architectural Designer, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various building projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial structures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop design concepts that meet their requirements
- Create detailed drawings and blueprints using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning laws, and other regulations
- Work closely with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure successful project completion
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and make necessary changes as needed
- Present designs and proposals to clients for approval

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Architectural Designer
- Proficient in CAD software and other relevant design tools
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and construction processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Experience working on projects in remote or challenging locations
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles
- Fluent in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language
