Underground Miner


As an Underground Miner, you will be responsible for extracting mineral resources from below the earth's surface. You will operate heavy machinery and equipment, such as drills, excavators, and loaders, to access and extract minerals from underground mines. This position requires physical strength and stamina, as well as a high level of technical skills.

Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment to access and extract minerals from underground mines
- Conduct routine safety checks on equipment before use
- Perform daily maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure proper functioning
- Safely remove mineral deposits using drills, explosives, or hydraulic tools
- Monitor underground mining operations to ensure efficiency and safety
- Assist with setting up support structures to prevent cave-ins
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations while working underground
- Keep detailed records of daily mining operations and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in mining preferred
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in underground mining operations
- Knowledge of heavy machinery operation and maintenance
- Physically fit with the ability to work in a confined space for extended periods of time
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Salary: $1700 per month

Location: Malindi, Kenya

This position does not include accommodation. Candidates must arrange for their own housing.
