Construction Project Manager
We are hiring a motivated and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee our construction projects in Nakuru. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results within specified timelines and budget constraints. As the Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, from start to finish. This is a contract position with accommodation provided, making it ideal for students or those looking for short-term work opportunities. A valid biometric passport is required.
Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with the project team
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the construction process, including material procurement, equipment rentals, subcontractor hiring, etc.
- Monitor progress and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or issues that may arise
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality of workmanship and adherence to safety regulations
- Manage project documentation and ensure that all necessary permits and licenses are obtained
- Identify potential risks or delays in the project and develop contingency plans to mitigate them
- Supervise and provide guidance to on-site staff, including subcontractors, laborers, etc.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as local building codes and regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar role
- Knowledge of construction processes, equipment, materials procurement methods, etc.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to read blueprints/drawings and understand technical specifications
- Proficient in MS Office suite and project management software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project
- Valid biometric passport
- Ability to work on a contract basis with accommodation provided
